Our latest addition... The Stone Cottage


Nestled in the woods across the lane from the Log Home and the Lake Michigan shoreline, is the beautiful new Stone Cottage. A perfect accommodation for a romantic get-away, ideal for a couple or an exciting family vacation.

A stunning floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace dominates the cathedral ceilinged great room. A satellite HDTV and DVD/VCR players are concealed by louvered shutters above the fireplace mantel. Incredibly comfortable leather furniture is grouped centrally for TV viewing, conversation or simple relaxation looking into the woods through a bank of windows or the stars through the skylights.

T he open floor plan allows a natural flow from the great room to the dining area and a "cook's delight" kitchen. Maple cabinets and island are complimented by all stainless appliances. The island has a snack counter with whimsical red and yellow swivel stools.

The dining table and chairs are of the contemporary "pub table" height, situated beneath Fran's rooster chandelier on a rooster rug.


Though a pair of French doors, just off the entry way, is the library with a magnificent bookcase, stereo system and comfortable furniture. Across the hall is the powder room and laundry with a full-sized washer and dryer. 

Sleeping accomodations consist of four bedrooms...

The large master bedroom has a 6' patio door to the deck and the woods beyond. 




A tray ceiling and colorful stained glass window above the king-sized bed add to the charm. Step into the bath with its double bowl vanity across from the deep, inviting, soaking tub under an antique stained and beveled crystal window. A separate walk-in shower is the alternative to a soak! 

Three more bedrooms complete the sleeping accommodations.


 The front bedroom has a queen-sized bed

... while the third bedroom has twins in a nautical theme. Both share the bath with a vanity and tub/shower combination. 

The fourth bedroom, on the second floor, has a queen-sized bed and its own private bathroom.
The deck and patio, at the edge of the woods, allow for outdoor bar-b-ques on the gas or charcoal grills.
Eat at the umbrella table on the patio or the picnic table with a lake view. Secluded and charming, the new Stone Cabin is a great all-season Door County hideaway!
