A unique cast-iron, spiral Victorian staircase with a polished brass handrail provides access to the Log Home's second floor. The second floor bedroom is in a spacious loft with cathedral ceiling, three skylights, and a massive oak spindled railing salvaged from the 1875 Door County courthouse. A 100-year- old stained glass window fills the end gable and gathers light from the sunrise over the lake to highlight the ornately carved 19th century walnut loft bed. A great room next to the loft has comfortable furniture, oriental rugs, and an 1880 German armoire that conceals a satellite TV/VCR and stereo system (movie library included). An oversize double whirlpool tub finished with marble and antique oak rests under a large antique stained and jeweled glass window. Two more skylights, a walkout balcony overlooking the lake, and a full bathroom with custom double bowl vanity, corner shower and mosaic tile floor complete the second story amenities.
